1. TERMS OF USE- ACCESS TO YOUR iPROFILE

The following terms and conditions shall govern the use of your iProfile via this website and the services provided by SkillsMarket Ltd. ("SkillsMarket") and are binding upon you.

What we do for you

You are able to create an iProfile of your skills, experiences, personal information and job expectations in a highly structured format on the iProfile database, which you may update or amend at any time. Your iProfile information may become available to other iProfile compatible organisations as a result of your use of those other organisations' services (see "Privacy Policy" below for more information on the use of your personal information). You can control access to your iProfile by clicking on the link at the end of these Terms of Use. You may access information relating to the demand and value of specific skills.

Our responsibilities

SkillsMarket and its partners endeavour to maintain and develop a detailed structure that enables you to build a comprehensive iProfile of your skills and competencies. You may download and use your iProfile for the purpose of developing your career. Your responsibilities

You will endeavour to ensure the information you provide is true and up to date and that the iProfile you maintain accurately reflects your skills and competencies and is not misleading. You shall not use this or any other iProfile service to distribute defamatory, obscene or hateful material, nor shall you attempt to violate the security of the website. You shall ensure that you have received any appropriate permission when disclosing information confidential to other persons. You shall not disclose your password to any third party and you are responsible for any actions undertaken by you or third parties that are identified with your password.

Our rights

SkillsMarket has the right to remove your information from the database and accept or reject at its sole discretion any candidate registering with it. SkillsMarket may, in certain circumstances, amend your personal details but will inform you of its intentions in advance. SkillsMarket and its partners may use your information within the limits of confidentiality placed upon them by you, the data protection legislation applicable at the time and in accordance with these terms of use (see "Privacy Policy" below for more information on the use of your personal information).

All trademarks, copyright, patents and other intellectual property rights which may exist in the iProfile system are the property of SkillsMarket and its partners and may not be reproduced, or used without the express written permission of SkillsMarket or its partners.

Our liability

SkillsMarket does not guarantee that you will find work through the use of this service. Nor does it ensure the nature, validity or conditions of any vacancy and they are not responsible for the use of your information by recruiters or employers. SkillsMarket and its partners do not guarantee the availability of the system and cannot be held liable for corruption of your information on the system or for loss resulting from any inaccurate or misleading information which you input directly into your iProfile or your use otherwise of the system. SkillsMarket does not warrant any of the information or services provided by it or any partners. Neither SkillsMarket nor its partners warrant the completeness, accuracy or reliability of the system and they are not liable for any loss resulting from use of the system.

Your liability

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkillsMarket and its partners from any liabilities, claims or demands resulting from your use of this system. SkillsMarket and its partners do not warrant any information provided as a result of these services and you should seek professional advice before placing any reliance on the information.

Certain information you provide may be combined and aggregated with other candidates' information for the purpose of providing industry intelligence without revealing any personally identifiable details. SkillsMarket processes your personal information on behalf of the recruitment companies (the data controllers). Although SkillsMarket may engage sub-contractors to assist in managing your information, you can control and restrict the access to your information via an on-line control panel. SkillsMarket complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and has put in place policies and procedures to ensure that your privacy is protected.

SkillsMarket may use personal information provided by you to contact you by e-mail, phone, facsimile or mail from time to time in relation to our services or the services of certain third parties. By agreeing to these terms of use, you are consenting to receive such information. SkillsMarket may transfer your personal data to other entities within the SkillsMarket group of companies and/or their affiliates.

Your iProfile is an industry standard record of your skills, experiences, personal information and job expectations, held in a highly structured format.

Your iProfile will become available to other iProfile compatible recruitment companies as a result of your use of those other company's services, for example, submitting a CV. However, the personal information held on your iProfile will only be shared amongst recruitment companies to which you have already submitted your details or will submit your details in the future.

Your iProfile information may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area (the "EEA"). Any transfers of your iProfile information outside of the EEA will be made in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

2. TERMS OF USE- ACCESS TO A THIRD PARTY'S iPROFILE

The following terms and conditions shall govern the access by you to the iProfile of a third party via this website and the services provided by SkillsMarket Ltd. ("SkillsMarket") and are binding upon you.

Any access by you to your own iProfile and the submission by you of any personal information to SkillsMarket shall be governed by the terms of use governing access to an iProfile.

Your responsibilities

You shall not use this or any other iProfile service to distribute defamatory, obscene or hateful material, nor shall you attempt to violate the security of the website. You shall ensure that you have received any appropriate permission when disclosing information confidential to other persons and you shall respect all duties of confidentiality imposed on you by common law or contract when using the information which you access via the iProfile system. You shall not disclose the password by which you access the iProfile service to any third party and you are responsible for any actions undertaken by you or third parties that are identified with such password.

SkillsMarket has the right to refuse access to the SkillsMarket system.

Career Masking Number Service

SkillsMarket make all reasonable efforts to ensure users of the above service can receive calls from any network and all calls can be received over the BT network and leading network operators. Once you have been allocated a Career Masking Number please check that it diverts calls to your desired number/s. In the unlikely event that your given number/s do not connect to the desired number please contact your network operator. SkillsMarket cannot be held liable in anyway for calls that fail to connect.

All call charges to iProfile holders’ career masking numbers are paid by the caller and are charged in line with standard rates 5p/minute to Landlines – 084 Prefix - and 19.98p/minute to Mobile Phones -070 Prefix from the BT network. Mobile and other networks may vary.

It costs nothing to receive a call.
